Apple iPads

Since the release of the Apple Pencil the iPad has become a go to drawing tool for many illustrators and artists.

iPad Pro with Apple Pencil

I love drawing on the iPad Pro. Lightweight apps like Procreate make it fun to draw on. Astropad, another app, turns your iPad into a second screen for your Mac and lets you use your iPad like a Wacom Cintiq tablet and use desktop programs like Photoshop and Illustrator. And apps like the recently released Clip Studio and Affinity Photo show that we are starting to really get pro caliber apps on the iPad

iPad Mini

The Mini is adorable and really really light. It works with the fist generation iPad pencil and every drawing app available on the app store. The drawing performance is just as good as the iPad pro but in a much smaller form factor.

iPad Air

I didn't review the air but the insides are the same as the iPad Mini so the performance is identical. The main difference between the iPad air and the mini is the size of the screen. It still works with an iPad app and the fist generation Apple pencil

iPad (7th generation)

The two most recent iPad (that only cost $329) are the best bang for the buck you're going to find in the art world. The Apple pencil is arguable the best stylus out there and it now works on the lowest end iPad. Performance for games isn't great but art applications are great.
